Frequently asked questions
Common questions about the ALC-7680.
The panel output is 32-lane V-by-One at 3 Gbps, for panels from 1920 x 1080 up to 7680 x 4320, at up to 12-bit per colour. Custom and custom-cut panel resolutions are supported as well as the standard ones. Panel power can be set to 3.3, 5, 10, 12 or 18 V, and the backlight is driven by 8-bit PWM with a DPMS enable pin. To check a specific panel, look it up on the Controller Solution Generator at csg.digitalview.com.
Yes. The board takes three inputs - HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0 and USB-C in Alt Mode - each accepting up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz. It will place one source inside another as picture-in-picture, or tile two or four sources side by side as picture-by-picture.
Three ways, and they can be combined. An on-screen menu driven by buttons, an infra-red remote, and RS-232. RS-232 also reads telemetry back from the board - temperature, fan speed, brightness and GPIO - so an installed display can be monitored as well as commanded. Hot-keys are programmable.
