There has been a lot written about the impact of blue light from displays, leading to a market for eyewear and display functions designed to reduce blue light. In response to this, we enabled a blue light reduction function on the ALC-4096 controller board as a custom feature. In summary:
- The reduction of blue light can be set in the controller board's menu.
- We set an OSD button as a hotkey to turn it on/off.
- This function cuts the level of the RGB blue channel.
- The adjustment is implemented at the hardware level, ensuring consistent performance independent of operating system settings or connected devices.
Functions like this can be added as a customization to all Digital View controller boards.
