Digital View first exhibited at SID Display Week in 1998, and the event has remained a valuable meeting point for display manufacturers, engineers, distributors, technology partners and customers. In recent years, we have teamed up with our distribution partner Edge Electronics, sharing booth space and presenting a combined range of display technology solutions.
This year’s event in Los Angeles again provided a strong opportunity to meet, discuss current projects and review the direction of the display industry.
Technologies on Display
At SID Display Week 2026, Digital View presented a range of display controller boards, embedded AI solutions, ePaper driver boards and system accessories.
LCD Controller Boards
LCD remains a core part of the Digital View product range, with controller solutions for commercial, industrial, and specialist display applications that address both new panel releases and legacy requirements.
At the show, we featured LCD controller boards, including models designed for harsh-environment applications, where reliability, durability, and long-term support are essential.
We also introduced the new ALC-7680, an 8K LCD controller designed to support high-resolution applications requiring advanced image performance and robust system integration.
AI Embedded Boards
AI at the edge remains an important area of development for embedded display systems.
Digital View showed AI-embedded board solutions, including the ALC-4096-AIH and AI-100, supporting applications where display control, local processing, and intelligent system functionality are increasingly connected.
These solutions address the trend to intelligent displays with edge-based image context awareness.
ePaper Driver Boards for E Ink
E Ink's ePaper continues to create opportunities for low-power and visually distinctive display applications.
At SID Display Week 2026, Digital View presented ePaper driver board solutions for E Ink panels, including the EPL-300, which supports the new E Ink 75-inch Kaleido color panel.
Accessories and System Integration
Digital View also highlighted the supporting accessories that help complete practical display solutions.
These include the essential extras needed for panel integration, connectivity and control. One example shown was the AI-50, which enables Ethernet connection as well as LLM AI control, extending the functionality of display systems beyond traditional controller-board operation.
Market Observations from the Show
One of the clearest observations from SID Display Week 2026 was the strong attention to OLED technology. It was also clear that the automotive industry is seen as an innovator in the use of displays.
OLED displays were highly visible throughout the exhibition, with many examples demonstrating contrast, color, form factor flexibility, and design possibilities. Flexible and foldable panels demonstrated that display technology continues to move beyond conventional rigid formats.

At the same time, microLED continued to emerge as an important technology area. While still developing across many applications, microLED remains a significant topic for future display performance, particularly where brightness, lifetime and modular scalability are priorities.
And as usual, there were other emerging display technologies, and it is always interesting to see which ones reappear the next year.
However, despite the attention on OLED and the emergence of microLED, our main takeaway was clear: LCD continues to be a strong player.
LCD remains highly relevant because of its maturity, availability, cost-effectiveness, broad panel ecosystem and continued suitability for industrial, commercial, medical, transport, marine and specialist display applications. For many real-world systems, LCD continues to offer the right balance of performance, reliability, integration flexibility and long-term support.
Continued Value of SID Display Week
For Digital View, SID Display Week remains valuable not only as a showcase for new display technologies, but also as a forum for direct conversations with customers, partners and manufacturers. Definitely a valuable destination for product managers and design engineers looking to use digital displays.
Since our first SID Display Week exhibition in 1998, the display industry has changed significantly. Technologies have advanced, panel formats have diversified, and the role of display systems has expanded into increasingly intelligent and connected applications.
Yet the core requirement remains consistent: customers need reliable, well-supported solutions that help bring display systems to market.
SID Display Week 2026 reinforced that point. Whether the application uses LCD, OLED, ePaper or future display technologies, successful implementation depends on the controller, embedded system, connectivity and integration support behind the panel.
Digital View will continue to support that need with controller boards, embedded AI solutions, ePaper drivers and system accessories designed for professional display applications.
