Digital View is now offering MIPI DSI interface LCD controller boards, with standard or customized versions.
The MIPI DSI interface, or MIPI Mobile Display Interface to give its full name, was devised by the MIPI Alliance for smartphones, tablets, laptops and automotive applications. As a result most MIPI panels are small, thin and lightweight; a quick search suggests there are nearly 600 LCD panel models in production with a MIPI interface and they range in size up to just under 13″ at the largest.
To meet the needs of customers wanting to do smaller production runs utilizing MIPI interface LCD panels Digital View offers the following as a default though custom variations are also available:
- Board size: 64mm x 65mm. Thickness 9mm.
- Input video: HDMI 1.4
- Power connector: Micro USB for DC 5V in.
- NRE setup charge for new panel timing.
- MOQ: 200 units.
- FPC panel cable 150mm.
- Lead time for default board sample: 15~20 working days.
- Production lead time based on default board: 20~25 days.
- RoHS compliance.
- Button for backlight PWM control, no OSD.
