IR Receiver Sensor

An infra-red receiver sensor for controlling function with a remote control handset.

IR Connector

Infrared extension connection.

Power Status LED

This is an LED indicator which represents the power status of the unit. When glowing this LED indicates that power is connected and the unit is switched on.

Switch

Switches (8 position dip switch) for setting the output resolutions and formats. By adjusting the combinations of the switches different output resolutions, ports or display equipment can be selected/used with the unit.

Remote Extension Socket

Allows for the connection of external buttons for controlling player functions.

Ethernet Port

The ethernet connection port allows connection to a local area network, enabling the unit to be connected to the internet or a computer on the network. This allows for remote updating of content on the unit.

Signal Output

HDMI / DVI out.

HDMI  Output Socket

HDMI signal output enables a connection to modern flat panel displays, allowing up to HD (1080p) content playback for sharper images.

RS-232 Port

The RS-232 connection allows commands to be sent to control player functions from external equipment, using the popular RS-232 command protocol.

VGA Output Socket

Allows connection to computer monitors or other VGA compatible displays. Also displays that accept a component signal input can be used where the model indicates output of YPbPr signal.

S-Video Output

S-Video output socket for connecting to S-Video capable display equipment

Composite Output

Composite output socket for connecting to composite capable display equipment

Audio Output

Digital audio output to carry compressed digital audio, commonly used in home theatre or surround sound systems.

Power Input

12V DC power input jack. For connecting the power supply to the unit.

On/Off switch

Power On/Off switch.

Casing

Lightweight, durable casing housing the internal working components.

Memory Card Socket

Flash memory card socket and ejector button for insertion and removal of the media content (compact flash media).

USB

USB update connection allowing upload/update of media content to the device and download of statistic logs via a USB memory stick.

Video Signal Switch

Allows selection between VGA and composite/S-Video outputs.

Format Select Switch

Allows selection between PAL/NTSC output

Select connection between PAL/NTSC video diaplay formats.

Loud Speakers

Built in loud speakers provide stereo sound directly from the unit.

Volume Control

Manual adjustment of the audio level

Audio Output

3.5mm stereo jack socket, commonly used for mutlimedia (computer) speakers.

Speaker Output

Socket for connection to stereo speaker set

Line Audio Output

Jumper selectable line level audio output, can be configured to output stereo audio signal

Control Buttons

OSD control buttons allow direct control of the units functions and features.

DVI-Output

DVI output.

Display Settings

Dip switch display settings.

Composite Input

Composite input socket for connecting to composite capable signal equipment.

DVI Input

DVI-I socket outputs a DVI-D  (digital) signal compatible with digital DVI display equipment.

S-Video Input

S-Video input for connecting to s-video capable signal equipment.

HDMI Input Socket

HDMI socket accepts signals from digital media players/ DVD, and other equipment with HDMI output.

Component Video Input

Input from component video sources (YPbPr).

VGA Input

Input from VGA video sources (YPbPr).

Port Selection

Switch between different input sources.

HD/SDI loop

HD/SDI input and output loop allowing realtime monitoring of output signal.

Buttons

Button connection socket, allowing for the connection of external buttons.

Auxiliary Power Output

Auxiliary power output (5V and 12V) for powering accessories.

Inverter

IInverter backlight power and control socket for direct control of compatible display panels and inverters.

Inverter Brightness

Socket to add backlight brightness control for direct control of compatible display panels and inverters.

Inverter Backlight

Inverter backlight status connection.

Power Output

Power output for powering connected accessories.

Alternative Video

Alternative video output socket for S-Video/Composite & VGA/YPbPr.

Digital Video

Digital video connection for direct drive of compatible TFT panels

Interface

IDE interface connection. Allows an alternative to flash card media storage by connecting a hard drive.

COM

COM connection port. Reserved for future development.

LAN

LAN (local area network) connection.
