Digital View Launches "Decision Vision"

Digital Media System offers low-risk, flexible route to instore digital advertising

Digital View has launched a new digital media system designed to offer retailers an extremely fast, cost-effective and low-risk route to the benefits of digital media. Combining ready-made content with a proven technology and networking platform, the solution covers all the main application areas, from broadcast to shelf-edge, and provides a means for retailers to establish the optimal configuration prior to roll-out.

The power of instore digital video and signage is now recognised by almost all retailers. However, many consider the risks and difficulties associated with the implementation of digital media systems to be prohibitive - the required capital expenditure can be high, and it is often impossible to determine the most appropriate content and technology platform for a specific store environment prior to investment. These issues are addressed by the Digital View initiative.

Bringing together proven content, hardware, software and support components which are behind over 25,000 digital displays at the point of sale, and 2,500 connected systems worldwide, Digital View's DecisionVision™ media solution is likely to catch retailers’ interest as it requires no up-front capital expenditure. Instead the solution can be supplied on either a leasing arrangement or a Revenue Share model, in which the system is paid for by revenues derived from brand advertising on the installed network. Both represent an extremely row-risk route to advanced digital media systems.

DecisionVision™ has every component required for a high-impact private instore media network. Digital View's display and networking technology, and operational support, are acknowledged by the retail and out-of-home advertising industry to be among the best in the world, and the company also offers a comprehensive and well-established library of content and well as advanced content scheduling and management solutions. DV also has wide experience of retail marketing, creative media production, media sales and remote content distribution. The result is that retailers have access to a digital media field installation which can be tailored to the store environment or other needs (e.g. staff training) extremely cost-effectively and with very low-risk.

As part of the complete, integrated DecisionVision™ solution, Digital View provides relevant, optimised and robust technology, as well as full installation and support services. The company has a state-of-the art Network Operations Centre, based in central London, which offers proactive support and reporting, and its network network management control software is fully scalable, form 1- 10,000 screens. All networks have 100% visibility at all times.
