New compact LCD controller with universal LVDS interface offers very high flexibility

Digital View's AL-1280 is a compact, easy to use display controller solution ideal for a wide range of commercial applications

The AL-1280 a new display interface controller specifically designed to meet the needs of system integrators, value added resellers and OEMs who need the flexibility to interface with a wide range of LCDs to satisfy custom application requirements. Supporting a wide range of LVDS LCD panels with resolutions up to SXGA (1280 x 1024) the product provides an easy to use display interface solution for industrial, medical, transport and military applications.

Conforming to Digital View standards which have become established across an international customer base, the Digital View AL-1280 offers very high reliability, multi panel support (VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA) and standard analog RGB (ARGB) input (15 pin D-sub). The DV AL-1280 also features the Digital View "Universal LVDS Interface" (ULI), first used on the DV AL-1024, launched earlier in 2004. The DV ULI will be gradually phased into DV's entire range of controllers supporting LVDS panels.

With support already in place for panels from Sharp, NEC, AU Optronics, LG Philips, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Chi Mei, Fujitsu, Hitachi, CPT, Hyundai and Samsung, the AL-1280 will be available from all Digital View offices and distributors.
